As you already know, my jewelry designs embody love for detail and feminine energy. I think of my body chains as armour you wear to protect yourself.
As each of the body chains can be individually designed choosing different materials, today I wanted to talk about the meaning of some of the gemstones I use.
Even if you are not a spiritual person you can enjoy the benefits of gemstones and crystals as you wear them as jewelry. Below pictured you can see the Areto body chain and the Thraso body chain in pink.
The gemstones picked for the designs pictured below stand out for their beauty, but also for their power. Whether as a protective stone, a talisman or a way over overcoming negative energy.
Pink Tourmaline: This stone carries a strong feminine or yin vibration. It attracts love, joy, and happiness. The name Tourmaline comes from an ancient Sinhalese word turmali, meaning “a mixed color precious stone,” or turamali, meaning “something small from the earth.” Wearing this stone as part of your body jewelry, for example, can help to release stress, worries, depression and anxiety. One of Tourmaline’s most distinguishing properties is its ability to become electrically charged simply by heating or rubbing it.
Sapphire: This stone has always been considered very exquisite. It’s associated with sacred things and deeply steeped into our history. The name Sapphire is derived from the Latin sapphirus, Greek sappheiros, and Sanskrit sanipryam, meaning “blue stone.”
In ancient and medieval times, it represented the height of celestial hope and faith. It was believe to bring protection, good fortune and spiritual insight. It was a symbol of power and strength, but also of kindness and wise judgment. It is said to create mental clarity, and will guide you to finding true love.
Opal: Opals promote a sense of calm and security, easing high levels of stress and depression. The energy of this stone encourages to express your true self. The name derives from the Latin ‘opalus’ and it believed to originate from the Sanskrit ‘upala’ which means “precious stone.” It also increases love while promoting physical and emotional healing.
Topaz: This stone’s energy will help you remain faithful and optimistic. Many of its properties are associated with an increase in self-confidence, pride and recognizing your own worth without becoming too cocky. The name Topaz is derived from the Greek word ‘topazion’, which may have originated from Sanskrit ‘tapas’ which is translated to fire.
It’s a symbol of love and affection, and has been said to be an aid to ones sweetness and disposition.
Gemstones and crystals have healing properties that help to balance the body, the mind and the spirit. Both the body and crystals have energetic vibrations that’s why they have a powerful vibratory effect when place directly on the body.
